Success Story
Sergeant Michael Jernigan miraculously survived 3 IAD's in Iraq that left him blind:"I met John (John Fales, President of Blinded American Veterans Foundation, who is a blinded Vietnam vet.) seven and a half years ago when he walked into my hospital room at Bethesda ICU. John wanted to let me know my life was not over, which I, at that time, thought it was."
Michael Jernigan has gone on to co-found his own program, Paws for Patriots, and is now, in his own words, "mobile, agile and no longer hostile".
