Trevon’s story is one of resilience and transformation. At 23, Trevon found himself homeless with a young daughter, unsure of how to move forward. Raised by a single mother, Trevon left home at 12, spending years bouncing between friends' houses and sleeping in cars. When he arrived at Covenant House Greater Washington, his life began to change.

“I walked in and said, ‘I’m homeless. I need help,’” Trevon recalls. Though it was hard for him to ask for support, Covenant House welcomed him with open arms. For the first time in his life, Trevon experienced a community that believed in him. He found shelter, guidance, and structure, helping him regain stability.

Covenant House staff not only provided Trevon with housing and employment support but also became mentors. With their help, he saved money, built relationships, and set out on a path to self-reliance. “They gave me the foundation I needed,” Trevon says. He now uses the Covenant House studio to work on his passion for music, which he calls his therapy.

Today, Trevon is a 25-year-old father of three and an entrepreneur with his own consulting business and ventures in real estate. He remains connected to Covenant House, eager to give back. “I want to be on the board of directors,” he says, determined to help others like him.

Trevon’s advice to those facing similar struggles: “Believe in yourself. Know your strengths and weaknesses. Have a vision and stick to it.” His journey shows that, with the right support, there’s always a way forward.
