Success Story
Sarah was a typical working mother. She was married, and had two school age boys. Sarah and her husband both had good jobs, and were able to afford a nice apartment. On an ordinary day much like today, Sarah's husband went out to run an errand, and never came back.Sarah felt hopeless, as the beginning of a new month approached Sarah was confronted with a mounting sense of panic - the rent was coming due. Although Sarah had a good job, she hadn't anticipated having to pay all of the family's expenses herself, she didn't have enough money to pay the rent and she had no close family to help her. Emotionally drained and out of options, Sarah begged her landlord to let her and her sons stay just a little longer while she searched for a way to make the rent payment. Fortunately, Sarah's landlord looked on her with kindness, and sent her to Network.
Network provides food, shelter, and clothing assistance for over 700 families a month, each of whom are faced with circumstances similar to Sarah's. Network was able to help Sarah pay her rent, provide her with groceries, and worked with her landlord to move her to a smaller, more affordable apartment. Sarah was able to survive life altering circumstances and today she is able to take care of herself and her boys without any help, thanks to valuable intervention taking place at a crucial moment in her life.
It is said that a person can live about 40 days without food, about three days without water, about eight minutes without air, but not for one second without hope. When you give to Network, you give more than temporary financial help. Giving to Network provides hope.
