Success Story

When you donate to the Baltimore Humane Society, a no-kill shelter serving the Greater Baltimore area, your donations make success stories like this one possible: another deserving dog will get to live a healthy life in a loving home!

In July of 2017, a loving and super friendly senior boy named Bowser was surrendered to the Baltimore Humane Society. While in BHS's care, it was discovered that the urinary problems he had been suffering with for years included bladder stones lodged in his urethra. Bowser's condition was very serious and life threatening. The untreated bladder stones complicated his condition to the point where the only solution was to send him to a specialist for surgery. Through your generosity, we were able to raise $8,000 to cover the cost of his surgery and within weeks Bowser was adopted to a new loving home!

In this moment of celebration, we need to look to the future. We know you want animals like Bowser to continue receiving the care they deserve, regardless of cost. Your reliable generosity makes this care possible and ensures that pets like Bowser can get the help they need! This Fall, in the spirit of giving, join us in refilling our funds that support all urgent, important, and necessary care for homeless and unwanted pets. Donate to the Baltimore Humane Society: high-quality care for the animals that need us now; high-quality advocacy for the animals that need us tomorrow.
