Success Story

I wouldn't have believed such a unique and heartwarming program could exist like this. 

In India, we help Visakha with their feeding program that also helps the STREET DOG companions to dozens of homeless and hungry people -- mostly children, the elderly, and the handicapped.

Like the people, these street dogs have also been abandoned and are sick with no one to love. 

The people and their dogs share this loneliness, isolation and humiliation -- but together they have mutual warmth, friendship and love.

They look for each other at night and feel despair if they miss each other. The people huddle with their dogs, sleeping together on old rugs and clothes. 

When it's time for food, the first morsel is often shared with their beloved dog.

EVERY meal has protein-rich lentils, vegetable curry, fruit, and sachet of drinking water provided on an eco-friendly banana leaf. 

EVERY Wednesday, Friday and Sunday (when it's hard to get food from other groups) the meals are delivered directly because most are too sick to travel.

This program is extraordinary with meals costing LESS THAN 50-CENTS each!! 

Thanks to our generous supporters, we are able to give more funding this year and with help, we hope to expand.

Together, we can provide more food and clothing to some of the poorest and most desperate people in the world and the dogs that give with warmth and unconditional love.
