Success Story
After being burned over 60% of his body, 12 yr. old Qing Song now has a new lease on life. While cooking for himself (his mother is dead and his father in prison), he accidentally overturned hot oil, searing his neck and upper body. An improper surgical procedure in 1997 left Qing Song's body covered in ugly scars. His face and arms were pulled down as though he had no neck. Even his smile was dragged into a frown.
Someone contacted Asian Children's Assistance, a non-profit organization dedicated to medical and humanitarian aid to orphans, handicapped and poor children. ACA brought Qing to their Mainland China, Shenyang office where he stayed with a loving staff member before and after his surgery.
Following a time of healing in his home town in Southern China, Qing Song will return to Shenyang to stay with his new friends for his second and third reconstructive surgeries. Thank you!
