We are an emergency rescue with boots on the ground, saving lives that no one else will. Veteran-founded and no-kill since 2012, A Kitty's Purrsuit of Happiness has impacted over 5,200 cats, the abandoned, disabled, feral, and abused, in a cage-free, feline-only sanctuary built on 'never cages, never wages.' We placed pet oxygen mask kits in fire departments, funded spay/neuter programs in Nicaragua through World Vets, and when Hurricanes Harvey and Dorian struck, we didn't wait. We drove crates from Texas to Florida and flew relief supplies into the Bahamas when larger organizations couldn't deploy. When the Central Texas Floods of 2025 recently devastated our own community, we helped our neighbors even as we faced our own losses. We fight for animals in the Texas legislature.

Every single day, up to 50 special needs cats receive the hands-on love they deserve, while our community colonies are faithfully maintained.

Shiloh was elderly, abandoned, and emaciated, seconds from death on a highway. We intervened and gave her medical care and love she had never known. Adopted together, Bella and Pawdre never left their owner's side until pancreatic cancer quietly took her. They came back to us with broken hearts, but found what every cat here finds. Refuge.
