Success Story

Jasmine came to the Women's Shelter and Support Center at her “lowest point.  She was in an abusive relationship, addicted to drugs, unemployed, homeless, and had lost her children.  WSSC provided her the individualized support and resources she needed to escape the abuse, get clean, find work, find housing, and get her children back. She received emergency shelter and transitional housing services, childcare, legal assistance, and supportive educational opportunities such as financial literacy and parenting classes.  She is now the proud owner of a minority owned business and gives credit to the support and education she received from WSSC.
