Success Story

The Trailblazer Adventure Program was designed to expose families to outdoor activities during the Trailblazer Adventure Day and offer them the chance to engage in the activities through the year-long Trailmaster mentoring program.

Trailblazer Adventure Day
This one-day program serves as an all-around introduction to the thrill of outdoor sports and the importance of conservation. It is typically hosted at a Boy Scout camp or similar facility. The Trailblazer Adventure Day features a variety of activities, demonstrations and orientation sessions designed to show children and their parents what the outdoor lifestyle is all about. All activities are conducted under the supervision of experienced Trail Guides with an emphasis on safety.

Activities may include:

  • Fishing
  • Target shooting
  • Boating orientation
  • Archery
  • Wildlife identification
  • Obstacle course

Trailmaster Program
Trailblazer Adventure Day participants are invited to sign up for the Trailmaster Program to continue to learn about the enjoyment of an outdoor lifestyle under the guidance of seasoned sportsmen mentors. Those who complete the year-long mentoring program will be recognized at the following year's Trailblazer Adventure Day.

The Trailblazer Adventure Program has introduced more than 800,000 families to the thrill of outdoor sports since 2001.

The U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance Foundation is working in partnership with the Boy Scouts of America, Fur Takers of America, International Association of Fish & Wildlife Agencies.
