Simanga, a 15-year-old, resides in the Richmond area of Eswatini. His journey, like many others in this community, has been far from easy. His mother passed away, and his father’s whereabouts remain a mystery. Simanga and his 4 siblings live with his grandmother in a small homestead provided by a caring friend. Unable to find work, his grandmother faced the daunting challenge of providing for her grandchildren with no income. It’s difficult to fathom these hardships.

Their daily existence hung in the balance, with hunger often casting its shadow. But then a lifeline arrived in the form of a Hope Box®, provided by supporters like you.

The nutritious Hands Against Hunger® meals inside these Hope Boxes® became more than sustenance; they were a lifeline. With each meal, Simanga’s family found the strength to face another day.

Simanga has been attending a Care Point run by one of ACHI’s partners for 3 years. The transformation in his life has been remarkable. No longer hopeless and hungry, Simanga is a young man on a mission. He works temporary jobs around the community, eager to gain skills and experience.

His dream? To become a teacher. With each meal he receives, his dream inches closer to reality. The meals you help pack, fund, and pray over have not only nourished his body and kept him alive, they have empowered him to dream about his future.
