Hope Strengthens Foundation mitigates financial stresses resulting from a life-threatening illness, disease or traumatic injury by paying directly for a beneficiary's medical bills, specialized equipment, and treatments that insurance does not fully cover.
Neil Hajjar is a 6-year old boy battling MECP2 Duplication Syndrome and Moyamoya Disease. Neil requires therapy equipment that will help him build his core strength and balance (most items Neil needs have not been covered by insurance). Recently, Neil had brain surgery at Boston Children's Hospital to help alleviate the strokes associated with his Moyamoya Disease. Hope Strengthens Foundation provided Neil's family support with expenses associated with his brain surgery and continues to cover the cost of therapy treatments and special classes to help improve Neil's core strength and speech.
