Help us say yes - ensure all U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer family members receive financial support for undergraduate studies at the community college, vocational college, college or university of their choice.
The CPOSF awarded twenty $2000 scholarships and two $5,000 scholarships in 2014. To date, the CPOSF has awarded a total of $915,000 in scholarships.
Our 2014 selectee for the $5,000 MCPON Crow Memorial scholarship was Precious Caluya Cuaycong. She is currently maintaining a cumulative 4.00 GPA at Tuskegee University. Her family is forward deployed with the Navy in Japan.
Precious says "Fall Semester went by pretty quickly, however, it was not as smooth and easy transition as I expected it to be. The environment was so vastly different than what I have been exposed to, and at first I was very uncomfortable and anxious. But no worries, I got back on track very quickly. After the anxiety-filled initial phase, I was able to get used to my seemingly very long days and short nights, as well as my daily routines. Last semester may not have started off smoothly, but I finished my first college semester with a GPA of 4.0.
I would like to thank the CPOSF for awarding me the MCPON Crow Memorial Scholarship. No amount of words can describe how much the entire board of Chief Petty Officer Scholarship Fund's belief in me enables and motivates me to perform above and beyond. Please extend my regards and thanks to the entire board of Chief Petty Officer Scholarship Fund."
