Real LifeCaring for Cambodia's recent graduates are examples of the success CFC has had in helping the students of Siem Reap reach for their goals in life.These two students share their thoughts following their graduation from CFC High School.Sean Sal ranked number three in her class at Aranh Sakor high School and is now attending university.She has learned how to create academic and life goals and important study techniques that she can apply to her future. According to Sean, "Success is not easy, but it is worth it. I could not imagine where I am today without my teachers. Teachers are like my second parents.They are the ones who guide the way for all students to reach their goals".
Chun Peik now attends university through a CFC scholarship, and speaks English confidently. A student Council leader and 3-year intern with the Pen Pal program, Chun is currently interning at CFC affiliated Bridge Gallery."A million thanks to CFC for always supporting us with a real education and useful skills.I have learned so many things and not just from the course books".
Oul Salav, a 19-year old graduate from CFC's Bakong HS, was recently accepted into a prestigious program to study psychology at the Royal University of Phnom Penh.One of 8 children born to farmer parents, Salav is the first in her family to complete high school.She says, "CFC has connected me with a lot of good people who are role models I can learn from, who listen to me, and share my experiences."Salav's path shows the power of CFC's carefully designed program investing in girls' futures.Salav is all too rare of an example in a country where nearly 25% of girls drop out of high school.
