We provide a safe and comfortable place to stay for seriously ill children and their families while they must be in Seattle or Anchorage for medical treatment.
Real LifeThe Seattle Ronald McDonald House is home to as many as 80 families a night and will serve 1,500 families in 2006. Families come to us from Washington, Montana, Alaska and Idaho looking for a safe, affordable place to stay when their child must be treated at Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center. Only one in five families is able to pay our $20 nightly fee. Thanks to the generosity of people like you, we never have to turn a family away due to an inability to pay.
How does the Ronald McDonald House help? Here's what families have to say:
"It was a safe place for us and helped us deal with the tough situations we faced. The House gave us the support we desperately needed."
- mother of Ashley (age 3)
"Ronald McDonald House took us under its wings. Without it, we couldn't have afforded a place to live. The added stress financially would have only made our two life-threatening situations harder."
- mother of Caryn (age 12) and McKenzy (age 9)
"Being grateful for the House is an understatement. The House gives families strength, encouragement and hope - you know you're not alone."
- mother of Patrick (age 13)
