Every student deserves a second chance for success and a quality education. Help us open the door to a better future for Denver's at-risk youth.
Real LifeIn a time when America is seeing more and more at-risk youth, the Denver Street School provides alternative secondary education for troubled teenagers, giving them a future and a hope. When Jenny enrolled at DSS, she was a rebellious teen mom with a history of disciplinary and gang problems. If you met Jenny today, you would never guess she was the same person. Instead, you would see one of the top students graduating in the class of 2000, a member of the DSS volleyball and cheerleading teams, and a young woman with dreams of college and entrepreneurship. Jenny is the first in her family to graduate from high school.
With nearly 14,000 students dropping-out of Colorado high schools each year, the Denver Street School continues to meet a critical need in the metro area by giving at-risk youth a means to finish their education and dream for their future.
