Real Life'They Really Understand,' Says Young Mom and Cancer Patient
Dana is a 33-year-old mother of three small children (seven months, two years, and five years) who was already disabled and is now battling breast cancer. She was referred to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX, but said her "financial situation is already stretched as I am unable to care for my youngest two children due to my disability, and we have the extra expense of full-time daycare."
She added that medical bills for cancer "are already pouring in," making travel costs another impossible layer of expense. Hospice Angel Airlines has provided free airline transportation for Dana, enabling her to access life-saving treatment.
"I want to express my deep gratitude to Hospice Angel Airlines and for them to really understand how much they are helping my family and me, she said."
