Children are alive today and mothers are cared for because of our compassionate, practical help. Free: pregnancy testing, sonograms, counseling, pregnancy classes, baby items, more.
I first heard of Shady Grove Pregnancy Center through a friend. Until then I did not know a place like this existed. The counselors at the Center were helpful and supportive. This was really important for me since I was having a difficult time in life. I was pregnant and unemployed. I was trying to find work, raise my six-year-old and not ask for government assistance. Through the Center's material assistance program, I was given information on community programs which could meet my needs. I was also given maternity clothes and when my daughter was born, I was able to pick up a layette, diapers, baby clothes, and a high chair (which I really needed).
Now I am back on my feet. I am working full-time. I no longer need help from the Center, but I am glad they were there when I did. I am so grateful to know them. God bless them!
